Women and Gender Resource Center

The Women and Gender Resource Center provides services to The University of Alabama faculty, staff and students, and Shelton State Community College students, regardless of gender, who are victims/survivors of interpersonal violence, as well as family and friends who have been impacted by the abuse. Services are also provided to anyone who is victimized on The University of Alabama campus.

Counseling Center

The Counseling Center helps students achieve academic success and personal growth through quality brief counseling and psychological services, outreach, and consultative services, and the training of mental health professionals.

Student Health Center and Pharmacy

The mission of the Student Health Center and Pharmacy is to support the academic development of our students by providing efficient access to quality healthcare services in a caring manner and promoting student health and wellness in order to satisfy the changing needs of the University of Alabama student community.

UAPD

The University of Alabama Police Department provides an array of services that include Police Patrol, Investigations, Community Services and Police Communications. Together, we can make our campus a safe and secure place in which to live, learn, work and play.

Veteran and Military Affairs

The mission of The Office for Veteran and Military Affairs is to provide, facilitate, or coordinate programs and services to meet the special needs of veterans, service members, dependents, and survivors in order to ease their transition to college life and fulfill their educational goals.

Safe Zone

The UA Safe Zone program provides a visible network of allies for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and asexual (LGBTQA+) individuals. The purpose of the Safe Zone program is to foster a University climate where everyone is treated with dignity and where all LGBTQA+ identified individuals are free to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.

Dean of Students

The office of the Dean of Students, within the Division of Student Life, maximizes each UA student’s learning experience through a supportive culture that fosters personal responsibility, cultivates a climate for individual growth, and encourages a commitment to excellence.

Center for Academic Success

The CAS is a unit within the Division of Academic Affairs and is committed to providing support services for academically gifted students and for students who need to strengthen their academic performance.

Capstone Center for Student Success

The Capstone Center for Student Success is designed to provide ALL UA students with the support, resources and coaching necessary to successfully manage your experience at UA & to attain your academic goals.  The Center serves as a “Hub” of academic, social and support services, connecting all students to the fantastic providers throughout Alabama’s campus.  Our Success Coaches are committed to supporting students through their college transition and giving them the academic tools & life skills necessary to graduate.  If you do not know where to turn, come to the Capstone Center for Student Success.  We’re here for you!

Collegiate Recovery and Intervention Services

Collegiate Recovery and Intervention Services (CRIS) provides a comprehensive continuum of care for students with substance use concerns. Services range from prevention, awareness, and exploration of consequences for high risk behaviors to a supportive, safe, and engaging environment that supports students seeking or contemplating recovery.
